It's 10 years of WASD!
Warwick's Awesome Speedruns and Demos (WASD) is back again - on 14th-15th February in the SU Atrium on-campus!
As with previous years, WASD is supporting SpecialEffect - they help with inclusion in gaming of people with physical disabilities via assistive technologies. It's a brilliant cause that we're proud to have contributed over £10k to previously 🧡
Submissions
ℹ️ You can submit runs from now until 23:59, 31st Jan - giving you all of Christmas and January to put together speedruns for the ages!
🔗 To submit runs, visit: https://warwickspeed.run/signup
We'd especially love to see our old runners return, whether re-running an old favourite, or something new. You've all been a monumental part of WASD's success since 2016, and it'll be great to commemorate all the great moments, and the contributions made in support of SpecialEffect 🧡
What if I haven't speedran before? How do I record a run?
💜 Don't worry! WASD is open to all skill levels - it's some chill fun to play games you love for a good cause!
ℹ️ We have guides over at https://warwickspeed.run/guides that'll help you get started with choosing games, recording and more - feel free to also ask for help in #ask-the-organisers on our Discord or over email at contact@warwickspeed.run :)
How can I get involved besides submitting runs?
You can also send us donation incentives, general ideas, or volunteer at the event itself, all is appreciated!
